My friend told me that the Family Fund can now help 16 year olds. Has anyone else heard this?

We go on holiday regularly each year, thanks to the Family Fund. It is becoming more and more difficult to find the money for holiday insurance, it is so expensive for our daughter. Does any other family find insurance for disabled children expensive?
